I was looking up some dive bars in my hometown of Austin, Texas and was amazed at how many of my favorite places are no more.  When you find a cool place, you always seem to think that it will live forever.  However, i think it is important that these places live on, even if only in our memories.  if you have a favorite dive bar that is no more, we want to hear about it.  Let us know the story of the demise of your favorite hang out.

It is our goal at American Dive Bars to have the most comprehensive Dive Bar resource in the United States.  We have extensively researched dive bars in the U.S. but we know that there are a lot of hidden gems out there.  If you find that we do not have your favorite dive bar listed, let us know and we will get it added to the website pronto.
